Selection guidance

How to narrow down the right model

Four questions usually settle the hardware choice before any pricing discussion.

Ask our engineers
What is the user standing in front of the terminal to do?
Registration and appointment check-in usually points to a 19–21.5 inch portrait kiosk; wayfinding, queue calling and information display suit a 43–55 inch unit.
Which peripherals must be embedded?
Card reader, barcode scanner, document scanner, thermal printer, camera or biometric module each change the internal layout and the front-panel cut-outs.
Which software and systems will it talk to?
The HIS/LIS or queue-management vendor determines the OS, the interface set and sometimes the mounting. Involving them early avoids rework at commissioning.
What is the deployment environment?
Public hospital lobbies, dust-controlled clinics and government service halls have different requirements for housing material, ingress protection and locking.
